Floating Roof Systems
Floating roofs were designed more than 100 years ago as a safety precaution to keep explosive gasses from building up between the roof of a tank and its petroleum contents. Today, the emphasis is on controlling atmospheric pollution, as well as on safety.
PortaFab's floating roof system is made with sandwich panels of two sheets of aluminum laminated on each side of an aluminum honeycomb material. It provides the vapor-controlling abilities of a full-contact roof while adjusting to the existing levels of the tank.
