A produce distributor in Maryland required supervisor offices for use in a refrigerated warehouse that was kept at 35°F year round. The client not only wanted to move its supervisors closer to its workers, but providing a warm office near them provided additional benefits. Since the client wanted the office built on a raised floor with the maximum amount of portability, we utilized one of our all-welded, preassembled buildings with forklift pockets.

Due to the low temperature environment and the need to easily relocate the buildings our distributor suggested a PortaFab preassembled building instead of one of our typical Quick-Ship modular buildings. The building was outfitted with quick disconnects to the breaker box and forklift pockets so that it could be relocated quickly and easily. We also constructed it with additional insulation, insulated glass windows and a baseboard heater to keep it warm in the refrigerated warehouse.
The customer ended up ordering three portable offices, but after determining that they could meet their needs with only two units, they re-purposed the third unit to replace an outdoor guard booth. The story truly shows the versatility and flexibility of PortaFab's portable offices.
