Successful angular bends require a continuous groove cut through the liner and core. Refer to Figure 3-2A. The preferred method for making this groove is to make three saw kerfs as follows.
Use a circular saw with a special carbide tipped blade to make the first cut with the blade set to the depth required to score a “V” groove on the inner side of the fascia to a depth of .015”± .005”.* This scoring:
Adjust the depth of cut on the saw and make the second and third cut as shown in Figure 3-2A.
Use a utility knife to cut away the remaining material to form a 5/8” wide groove.
