The Evaluation
In evaluating the Rockland project, it is important to note the difficulties that could have been incurred in designing
and constructing control rooms on a mezzanine level raised 25 feet above the warehouse floor.
PortaFab's Modular Control Room designs were the first choice because they eliminated the disruption caused by stick construction, allowed continued plant function and provided a quick and easy installation.
PortaFab's local distributor offered the complete package, lighting, electrical, cooling, etc., that was required to construct and configure the two interior control rooms with minimal disruption to plant operation. At the same time, the project would be able to avoid conventional construction, allowing a tax break while still providing the same utilization expectancy.
The Solution
PortaFab evaluated the situation and was able to provide a solution that offered the flexibility to meet the
specifications and changing needs that were required.
Waste Management, Inc., believed PortaFab modular buildings were the right choice because it was a "turn-key" operation. Lighting, electrical panels, and prefabricated walls ere delivered in one complete shipment ready for installation.
"It gave a sleek, industrial appearance to our plant operation," said Joe Martines, "and we are very pleased with the outcome."
PortaFab Building to Fit Specialized Needs
When planning in-plant buildings that require maximum flexibility, the PortaFab modular systems are an excellent choice.
They can accommodate virtually any design and are easily modified for relocation and additions. Because PortaFab's wall
systems are non-progressive, modifications are quick and can be done without reassembling the entire unit.
