The Situation
Pioneer Electronics, a world leader in electronics products for the car, home and business markets, needed to increase the product quality and product yield of their car stereos for their clients, Lexus, Toyota and other high-end car manufacturers.

The Evaluation
Circuit boards, or motherboards, of the car stereos, were being subjected to dust and other particles in the air during the manufacturing process, which lessened the quality of the products.  Pioneer feared this could cause some clients to lose faith in the company.

To find the right solution for their Springboro, Ohio facility, Pioneer turned to R.E. Condit Co., a full line material handling equipment distributor, located in Dayton.   Jay Keighley, an R.E. Condit Co. salesman, provided the proper solution through PortaFab.  

The Solution
Based on Pioneer’s needs, PortaFab supplied the electronics company with the OmniFlex 300 Plus, steel stud modular wall system.  This is PortaFab’s most popular framing system, featuring wall heights up to 18 feet and thicknesses of 3 inches.  The OmniFlex 300 Plus, along with white steel panels, provided the controlled environment essential to Pioneer’s needs.  The panel construction features thermal insulation and sound deadening properties, which is utilized every time Pioneer performs sound tests on acoustical products.
